The beautiful fairy-lit barn at our restaurant, Wilding Kitchen, provides the perfect backdrop for a merry occasion with colleagues, clients, friends or family.

Our Christmas butchery range comes from animals that have spent their lives roaming the Knepp Wildland. Longhorn cattle, Tamworth pigs and fallow deer, grazing scrub and open pasture as part of the rewilding process. Choose your centrepiece from the wild range, with award-winning charcuterie and accompaniments to see you through the season. Delivered to your door.

Yes, winter is a rewarding time to visit a rewilding project. While our campsite closes during the winter months, there’s still plenty to see and do at Knepp. Explore 16 miles of footpaths through the rewilded landscape, where the season opens up views through the bare scrub and trees, and makes it easier to spot free-roaming longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies and deer. Look out for wintering birds, climb one of our five tree platforms, and warm up afterwards with a seasonal breakfast or lunch at the Wilding Kitchen and a browse around the Wilding Shop. Knepp’s produce – from venison to organic preserves – is at its seasonal best. It makes an unusual, nature-first alternative to a conventional Christmas outing.

Yes. The Wilding Shop is open 9am-5pm daily over the festive period (closed Christmas Day; Boxing Day 10am–4pm). The Wilding Kitchen restaurant is open 9am-4pm daily with Saturday evening festive service until 19 December, and is closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Regular hours resume on 27 December.
